Former City Hall said Neue Bau, currently of the Chamber of Commerce and industry of Strasbourg and Bas-Rhin Hotel, French Heritage monument to Strasbourg

We think that the architect Hans Schoch is the author of the primitive building Neue Bau (two wings in return for square), designed probably for use of City Hall in 1585. It is in this building that observed for the first time in Alsace the canonical overlay of the ancient (according to Vitruvius) orders in elevation. After 1808, became the headquarters of hotel commerce, the building is enlarged by four bays side place and a wing also identical, to form a Horseshoe. Inside, the building to retain an impressive structure in the Renaissance wings and a suite of ornate décor rooms Empire.
