Robert cognac spirits distillery, French Heritage monument to St jean d angely
Body building on the avenue du Port in coated rubble on a square floor, whose flat tile roof is broken into three parts, with two roofs to hilltops of part of a roof with its gable found on avenue. Treated in the Renaissance style, all bays are framed by pilasters delicately adorned with scrolls and crowned with triangular pediments on the ground floor and Arch on the first floor with plant motifs. The façade is crowned by a wall concealing the roof. The cellars are coated rubble covered with cement asbestos roofs. The House of cognac Robert moved avenue du Port in the 1880s in buildings constructed for use of Distillery, Office and shops. A Jean Robert succeeded his son André. In 1933, the buildings were sold to the charentaise wine company. They serve more later from Headquarters at the maison de cognac Richard. They are currently disused.
