Pranzac had collegial; unfortunately one can only note the fact, because the documents on the chapter of Pranzac are completely lacking, and the only known information, according to Mr. the Michon abbot, is that by which it announces '' that the canons of Pranzac envoyerent their deputies at the assemblies of the clergy for I' election of the delegation to the General states in 1789. ''
Nevertheless, knowing, on the one hand, that collegial existed has Pranzac, finding, of another, in the old cemetery of this locality, a tomb or the sculptor reproduced with intention the image of a dignitary of the Church covered of the badges of its load, we believe capacity to say that it belongs has an abbot of the chapter of Pranzac.
As for the time to which it goes up, by taking for criterium the trefoil blind arcade in which the character east carves; moreover, by comparing it with the tombs publish in the Alphabetical one of Mr. de Caumont, one can fix it only at the end of XIIIe century, at most at the beginning of XIVe.
