Caisse d'Epargne, French Heritage monument to Beaune
The building consists of a central body between 2 little protruding wings on the front. The ground floor openings are full-arch, the rectangular floor surmounted by pediments. A skylight disrupt the pediment over the span of the wings. The coronation of the Centre span of the main body is imprinted with CAISSE D'EPARGNE. The date ANNO 1894 is engraved above the Windows of the floor of the wings. A chain of door right angle stone, engraved, the signing of Deschamps overcoming a compass, left, of Pron-Viard Sr / Dijon. An annex building is supported at the right elevation of the building. A branch of the caisse d'Epargne existed at Beaune since 1835. The building place de la Halle, work of architects, Maxime Deschamps and Félix Goin was started in 1894 and opened in 1901. The decoration is the work of the Dijon sculptor Pron-Viard.
