Saint-Flocel Funeral Chapel known as Chapel button, French Heritage monument to Beaune

The Chapel is covered with a limestone pending key coffered ceiling. This ceiling is suspended from 3 stone arches which some voussoirs (4 by arc) extend in vertical rods to the corners of the casing and retain the sides of these frameworks. Some of these rods are monolithic, other compounds of 2 elements maintained by metal clips. they are connected by a wall plates in brick. From the peak you can see metal studs holding dangling keys, the trace of Assembly of the 3 components of each case and the hollowed-out top of the sides of the frames of the casing. The right arch supporting the ceiling is connected to the frame with rods of iron based on a beam. The external elevations are crowned lined a railing openwork carved Gallery. In 1529, the Canon Jean-Baptiste button gets the chapter permission to build a chapel. January 12, 1530, a market was passed with the brothers Pam, masons in Beaune, for work, and the chapel was built from 1530 to 1533. The 1530 date is engraved, outside on the cartridge of a modillon of the cornice and indoors on a cartridge of the arcade and that of a pilaster of niche. The balustrade of the outer Gallery is the coat of arms and motto of 'In Domino confido' sponsor.
