Church of Notre-Dame of Moncucq, French Heritage monument to Belves

Outside the ancient walls of the city, Church depended on the source of a Benedictine Monastery founded in the 9th century. In the 13th century, construction of a new Gothic church remained unfinished. Late 15th century, new building built inside the first. After the ups and downs due to the wars of religion, the Church was restored under Henri IV. Major works of internal reconstruction in the 18th century. Sold as national property during the Revolution, then made to worship and restored at the beginning of the 19th century, antique furniture is replaced by furniture recovered from the Church of the Jacobins (Chair, altar of the Virgin...).
