Villebouzin Castle, currently nursing home, French Heritage monument to Longpont sur orge
The central body covered with a large peak at four sides is framed by large square pavilions topped Pavilion roofs. The facade on Park is decorated with two small pavilions forming back. Partly filled moat completely surrounding the Castle and form at the front a large cour d'honneur. Building built during the 2nd half of the 17th century by Montgomery County on the site of an old feudal Castle. It is almost in its original state
* only two independent pavilions containing a chapel and an auditorium located on the front of the Castle have disappeared, removed in the 19th century by Mr. Baudoin, recipient of the area in 1844. This chapel was bought and rebuilt by the family of Bagneux in the cemetery of La Ville-du-Bois to a funerary chapel. Two turrets, remains of the primitive Castle, flanking corners the Court of honour and one of which housed a Dovecote, were also demolished at this time. After 1785 the Marquess of Eschoisy, owner, reworked Interior and built in the English part of the Park. The belfry which overcomes the pediment and the semicircular porch in the center of the front facade appear to be an addition of the 19th century. The castle was restored in 1912 by the architect Paul Friesé, who also built the common. A parterre in the French re-established after 1911. The property is now a clinic that has built buildings in the old rose garden.
