Collegiate Church and parish church Saint-Étienne, French Heritage monument to Capestang

The General view of the building clearly indicates the various campaigns of the building. The Bell Tower, Tower square, rises on the southern side chapel of the last Bay of the nave and is served by a polygonal stair turret. A three-span vaulted warheads porch opens on the unfinished nave of the Church. The first two bays of the Church are less high than the two following and are covered by a timber on arcs diaphragms. The first is shallower and has never been completed. The second span opened on a chapel, built in the North wall of small size. The staging of the stones of the wall West of the third span, more high and vaulted with warheads, indicates that the first campaign for construction of the Church stopped after the latter. The last two bays of the nave are vaulted warheads quadripartite and lined by high lateral chapels arched vaults and open by large three lancets to the complex tracery Windows. The lighting of the nave is ensured by high Windows two lancets. The seven-sided apse is low and narrow as the nave and vaulted with warheads. The diaphragm wall is perforated by an oculus in the tracery of clovers and quad. The first church dedicated to Saint-Félix preceded the collégiale Saint-Étienne. It was built on the site of the first from the 1st quarter of the 14th century and the project stopped after the construction of the last two spans of the nave and the side chapels. It is quite possible that the rest of the construction was not carried out before the second half of the 14th century with less important ways. The building was enlarged by two spans towards the West. Lower compared to the previous ones, they are covered by a timber. The porch or narthex with three spans was probably raised in the 16th century and closing the building. The current stained-glass windows were established in 1868. The Church was classified Historical Monument on October 16, 1906.
