Chapelle Saint-Nicolas, French Heritage monument to Vitre
The St. Nicholas chapel was the chapel of Saint-Nicolas and Saint-Yves hospitals established at this location since the 13th century. The transfer of the hospital to a new site in 1986, the chapel became Museum. The current building was built in two campaigns: the first date of the middle of the 15th century (Western front, apart from the Bay with a network of the 19th century), the second campaign of the limit of the 15th century, 16th century (South side door). The Ahmed of Robert de Grasménil, Canon of glass and hospital administrator is engraved the following inscription: CY GIST MESTRE ROBERT GRASMÉNIL in his time CHAPLAIN (d) (E) Tribunal and CHANOISNE MADELEINE which A fact REDIFFIER CESTE Church the twenty and UNG (nth) OJ (UR) of July MILVC (500). PRAY God PO (UR) LUY.
