Cette tour hexagonale, datée du XVe siècle, n'aurait aucuns liens avec les Templiers, qui ne possédaient d'ailleurs rien à Thélod selon Monsieur Michel Henry, spécialiste de l'ordre du Temple en Lorraine et auteur de plusieurs articles et ouvrages sur le sujet.

Mais pourquoi donc l'attribuer aux Chevaliers du Temple !
