Chapel, French Heritage monument to Melrand
The Latin cross with flat chevet plan is dominated by l´importante Western gatehouse. The building has reached its full completion: several foothills await their pinnacles, as batteries engaged at the corners of the choir expect an arcade and the Arch of the Western porch births expect an ogive Vault. Inside, some stone benches run along the walls of the choir and a part of the transept. The great tower of the Bell Tower at the western end of the nave is massive, flanked by high buttresses, devoted type of the region for the great works. It is divided into two floors and topped a polygonal Spire stone, itself flanked by four pinnacles lobed Berry. A polygonal tower adjacent to the South contains a staircase leading to the Bell. The entrance of the Western porch is done by a broken arcade. Under it a basket door communicates with the nave, a second deal on the stairs. The South side of the nave is the most important, which explains the richness of ornamentation on the pinion of the transept with a portal to berries in basket separated by a pier, all surmounted by a broken eardrum arcade which the tracery is flamboyant. This type of formula is found on many chapels in the diocese of Vannes. The gable of the north transept is informed of a large arched window. Upstairs, the sacristy was a heated stately Forum. The chapel of pilgrimage of Locmaria is a homogeneous construction of the second quarter of the 16th century flamboyant Gothic style. Some changes are made at the end of the 17th century: a sacristy is added on the northeast corner of the bedside
* the Gallery of the tower is redone. An element of the old Gallery remains on the South side. The sanctuary is achieved thanks to the patronage of the Lords of Rohan with the coat of arms furnished by ten macles are on the south transept portal, at the junction of the two braces. Other Lords of the region, Pluméliau in Kerveno, participated in the construction of the building. Their coat of arms to ten stars is carved on the Bell Tower, the fountain of devotion and, later, at the top of the altarpiece.
