The road which leads has this monument is good to the edge of wood, but of this point to the dolmen, there are approximately 500 bills of quantities of not very practicable way.

This dolmen is composed of four supports and an enormous stone of covering, which measurement 4 bills of quantities length on 2 bills of quantities of width on average and 0m50 thickness: this table has 0m6o ground, it is in quarzite. It presents surge many of which several communicate between them; it is, moreover, completely perforee in several places. The supports are in Grison, one of them is rather faded.

In a career, situee has Bizou, close commune, one finds this same rock.

One forever made serious excavations under this dolmen. Raised boarding school of Mr. Louvel, Remalard, gave to him, in 1852, a polished axe, and in 1868, a similar instrument, as well as a scraper, which had been find close to the monument. In 1860, one had there finds an instrument polished spindle-shaped which is with the Museum of Alencon.

Mr. Behu, professor with the college of Rennes, also collected there, in 1884, a polished axe which was dissimulee, by humus, in the anfractuosity of a support.

One has finds, moreover, in the surroundings, rather great number of blanks of axes.

According to a legend conservee by people of the country, this table would have been apportee by the Virgin in her apron: one of anfractuosities which, because of the impermeable nature of the rock, preserves water all the year, carries the name of Source or Laundrette of the Virgin. When a construction is done in the locality, certain people introduce into their masonry of the fragments of the dolmen which thus underwent many mutilations; others are satisfied to take stones ramassees near the monument.

Mr. Delbauve made a drawing on zinc of this dolmen; he was publiee in the Review Norman and percheronne (first year, 1892, p. 137), he accompanies a sonnet by Mr. count of Moucheron, on this megalith.
