Church Saint-Vital and Saint-Agricol, French Heritage monument to Bulhon
Roman auvergnat style building, originally castle chapel. It was given to the monks of la Chaise-Dieu in 1050. This church, preceded by a modern tower-porch has a nave of four bays flanked by collateral, a transept, which square opens onto the choir finished in house and not protruding arms open on the apses. The square of the transept is vaulted with a dome on squinches. The apse of the apse Vault falls on the round arches of a series of five decorative arches. An apsidal Chapel in the apse, semicircular, opens on each arm of the transept. This Romanesque building has retained its structure intact, as well as the sculpture of capitals. The capitals are all under a moulding tailloir a cavetto above an o-ring Astragalus and under the banner of a basket carved foliage sometimes mixed motives (interlacing) or animals and characters.
