A report on the strength of the Church in 1862, said that it consisted a Romanesque chancel, a nave of the 14th century and a later North Chapel. This report also indicates that the vault of the nave was demolished about 10 m and replaced by the roofing panels. In 1863, the repair and expansion of the building project is entrusted to François - Louis Jacobs, architect in Clermont-Ferrand: only the northern part of the building will be partially preserved.
