Church Sainte-Madeleine parish, French Heritage monument to Cros

Vaults on the 2 chapels and the porch. Vaults full-arch on the nave and the choir right span. Apse on the apse Vault. Church almost ' fully coated inside and outside (except the front). A report on the strength of the Church in 1862, said that it consisted a Romanesque chancel, a nave of the 14th century and a later North Chapel. This report also indicates that the vault of the nave was demolished about 10 m and replaced by the roofing panels. The stone cover was based directly on Earth resting on the top surface of the vault, which produced important architectural disorders (discharge of the walls, collapse of the vault...). In 1863, the repair and expansion of the building project is entrusted to François - Louis Jacobs, architect in Clermont-Ferrand: only the northern part of the building will be partially preserved. In 1865, drafting of the specifications
* in 1866, an over-the-counter market rose for work, are completed in 1867. In 1876, construction of the tower by the same architect, the specification is drafted and the award made in 1878. The work will be approved in 1880. Translation of the cemetery by Picard, architect in Bagnols (63), reception of the works in 1915. Repairs to the walls and plastering by Bernard, architect in La Bourboule, in 1925-1926.
