Former tourist group Latitude 43, French Heritage monument to St tropez
'Tourist group' directed by the architect Georges - Henri Pingusson in 1932, inserted in a site overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. The building is built in six months, reinforced concrete with brick fills hollow. The original program is very comprehensive and includes, in addition to the hotel's 110 rooms (of which 90 with bathrooms), a restaurant, a sports complex with swimming pools and tennis courts, a casino, shops and ancillary service buildings (Castle of water, laundry, garages, drivers rooms and transformer). The architect signs across the building, drawing also furniture, lighting fixtures, carpets and even the costumes of the staff. Inaugurated on July 14, 1932, the hotel is open only for a few seasons. During the second world war, he is commandeered by armed French, Italian, German and American. He served from 1945 to 1947 Center of rest for ex-detainees to return to the concentration camps. From 1948, the hotel is transformed into condominiums.
